What is Vital Signs®?
Vital Signs® is an annual community check-up conducted by community foundations across Canada that measures the vitality of our communities. In 2010, 15 communities from Victoria to Lunenburg County participated in Vital Signs®. Vital Signs® is coordinated nationally by Community Foundations of Canada, provincially by the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia and locally by the Lunenburg County Community Fund. Lunenburg County’s Vital Signs® is a project of the recently formed Lunenburg County Community Fund which exists to support important local causes and initiatives through a permanent endowment fund that will be built over time by local community members. The Lunenburg County Community Fund is part of the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia, a registered charitable foundation created by and for the people of Nova Scotia.
